Decathlon launches Vertigo 76: a new archive collection

20/1/2026 - DECATHLON launches Vertigo 76, a winter outdoor collection directly inspired by its archives from 1976. This exclusive prelude marks the countdown to the brand's 50th anniversary celebration in 2026. Through this collection, Decathlon highlights its historical pillars: adventure, discovery, and the summits.​ The Vertigo 76 collection will be available from January 27th.

 

The "gorpcore" style of Vertigo 76 promotes technical clothing, but for the city! An heir to "normcore"—the minimalist style that valued simple materials—it now invites us to play the explorer in our daily lives. With the rise of walking—whether to reconnect with oneself, take care of one's health, or simply enjoy the moment—urban hiking is emerging as the new everyday adventure.

 

The 15 unisex pieces of Vertigo 76 are available in a palette ranging from purple to deep brown, including burgundy and mauve, all enhanced by touches of cream and sienna. The collection also features a 90s icon: the bordered triangular patch. Slightly redesigned in its curves and graphic details, it revives a cult emblem: the famous AFLF slogan (À Fond La Forme).

Fleece jacket, polars, socks, sneakers, Graphic tee-shirts, long-sleeve tee-shirt, cargo skirt, cargo pants, a modular fanny pack that transforms into a backpack, and the essential ear-flap cap: all outdoor essentials are modernized with structured cuts and finishes designed for daily life. Vertigo 76 draws its energy directly from the past to reignite original inspiration and celebrate DECATHLON’s creative history.

 

 

"We delved into our archives to find the pieces that best embodied our Sportswear DNA, with a dual ambition: to reinvent them into stylish outfits and create a cohesive collection that carries our story. It is this balance we sought—between nostalgia and our current identity," says ​ – Kynza Ahmed, Textile Designer for the collection.
